Practice a job interview out loud
Paste the job posting; the AI asks real interview questions one at a time and helps you shape honest answers from your own work.
What it does
No bot required. Paste a job posting into any chat AI and it runs a practice interview using the kinds of questions in the U.S. Department of Labor's CareerOneStop guide: tell me about yourself, your strengths, a time something went wrong on the job, a difficult customer, and what you'd like to ask the interviewer. It asks one question at a time. You answer by typing or in voice mode, and it gives short, kind feedback and helps you tighten real stories from your own work (job sites, shifts, customers, crews). It never invents experience. Good for first jobs, career changers and anyone who hasn't interviewed in years. Many American Job Centers also offer free mock interviews in person.

Run a practice job interview with me. The job: [job title] at [type of employer, e.g. HVAC contractor, warehouse, hospital, retail store] The posting: [paste it] About me: [a few lines about your work history, or paste your resume] 1. Ask me one question at a time, like a friendly but real interviewer. Mix common questions from CareerOneStop's practice list (tell me about yourself, strengths, a weakness, why this company, where you see yourself in three years) with behavioral ones (a deadline or stressful day, a mistake on the job, an unexpected problem, a difficult customer, a disagreement with a coworker). 2. After each answer, give me 2-3 lines of feedback: what worked, and one way to make it clearer. Help me tell it as a short story: the situation, what I did, and how it turned out. 3. Only use things I actually told you. Never make up experience or numbers. 4. If I get stuck, help me find a real example from work, school, volunteering, or church or community groups. 5. After 8 questions, give me my 3 strongest stories, one thing to practice, and 4 good questions to ask the interviewer. 6. Mention the kinds of questions CareerOneStop says employers can't ask (like past injuries, health conditions or medications), and how to steer politely back to the job. Keep your messages short so it feels like a real conversation.
