Turn your work history into a resume
Answer a few questions about your jobs; get an honest, one-page resume aimed at the job you want.
What it does
No bot required. Paste this into any chat AI (ChatGPT, Grok or Claude) and it interviews you about the work you've actually done (crews you ran, machines you ran, customers you handled, certifications you hold) and turns it into a clean, 1-2 page resume for the job title you're after. It follows the U.S. Department of Labor's CareerOneStop resume advice: keep it true, keep it in your own words, put your qualifications near the top, and use the same terms the job posting uses. You still read every line before you send it.
Copy-paste prompt
No bot needed: paste this into Grok, ChatGPT, or Claude.
Help me write a resume. Ask me questions first; don't write anything until you've asked them. The job I'm applying for: [job title] Here's the job posting (or a few postings for the same title): [paste them] What I have now: [paste an old resume, or say "nothing yet"] 1. Ask me up to 10 short questions, one at a time, about my jobs (last 10-15 years), what I did day to day, tools or equipment I run, licenses and certifications, training, and anything I'm proud of (safety record, customers, crew size, problems I fixed). 2. Then write a 1-page resume (2 pages max) in this order: contact info (leave placeholders; I'll fill them in), a short summary, key skills, work history (most recent first), then training and certifications. 3. Use plain, simple words that sound like me. No fancy buzzwords. 4. Use the exact terms from the job posting where they're true for me, and tell me which requirements from the posting I didn't show yet. 5. Only include things I actually told you. Never make up or stretch experience, dates or titles. If something's unclear, ask. 6. Give it to me as plain text I can paste into Word or Google Docs.
