Quarterly vehicle recall check
Twice a year (or each quarter), a nudge to check your cars on NHTSA.
What it does
Your bot reminds you a few times a year to check each household vehicle for open safety recalls on NHTSA's site (nhtsa.gov/recalls) using the VIN or license plate. It walks you through what to do if a recall shows up — schedule the free repair at a dealer and follow any interim safety steps — and can also remind you about car seats and tires. It reminds; you (or the dealer) still do the check and the fix.
Copy-paste prompt
Be my household vehicle recall reminder. Vehicles to track (year/make/model only is fine; I'll look up VINs myself): [list]. Also track: [car seats / tires] if I list them. Every [January and July] (or remind me each quarter): 1. Nudge me to check each vehicle at nhtsa.gov/recalls (VIN or license plate lookup). 2. Remind me: open safety recalls are repaired for free at the dealer; follow any interim safety guidance in the notice. 3. If I paste recall results, summarize in plain words what is open and the next step (call the dealer, schedule the free fix). 4. Keep messages short. Never store full VINs in a shared place unless I ask you to; prefer last-4 only if we keep a note. Source of truth: NHTSA (nhtsa.gov/recalls). Don't invent recall details.
