Fridge leftovers tracker
Log leftovers by message; get a nudge before they're past safe.
What it does
Tell your bot what you just put in the fridge. It uses FoodSafety.gov's cold storage chart to note when each item should be eaten by, and reminds you the day before, so less food gets wasted or eaten too late.
Example output
Illustrative example, not from a real account
What's in the fridge (example): • Chicken soup: logged Mon, eat by Thu (day 3 of 4) • Leftover pizza: logged Tue, eat by Fri • Hard-cooked eggs: logged Sun, good for 1 week (until next Sun) Tonight's heads-up: the chicken soup is on its last day tomorrow.
Copy-paste prompt
Be my fridge tracker. When I say "fridge: [food]" (e.g. "fridge: chicken soup"), log it with today's date and look up its safe refrigerator time using the FoodSafety.gov cold food storage chart (e.g. leftovers 3-4 days). Each evening at 5 PM, if anything is on its last day, remind me so I can eat it, freeze it, or toss it. When I say "what's in the fridge?", list everything with days left. When unsure, use the shorter time, and say "when in doubt, throw it out".
