Translate your video titles and descriptions for viewers in other languages

Paste your title and description; get a careful translation draft for each language you pick, ready for a fluent viewer to check before you add it in Studio.

What it does

No bot required. YouTube lets you add translated titles and descriptions to each video so fans can find your videos in their own language. YouTube Help says it makes videos more accessible to viewers outside your home country and helps you build a global audience, and that viewers can find your videos when they search using a translated title and description. In YouTube Studio you add them per video: Subtitles (some accounts now show Languages) > pick the video > Add language > under Title and description click Add > Publish. Bigger channels with access to Advanced features can also upload their own dubbed audio tracks (multi-language audio) and localized thumbnails for long videos. Any chat AI can draft the translations, including the tricky bits like game names, product model numbers and slang. Machine translation can miss tone, so have a fluent viewer, moderator or friend check before you publish. Good for gaming, tech and tutorial channels starting to see viewers abroad, and for top creators who already have big international audiences.

Copy-paste prompt

No bot needed: paste this into Grok, ChatGPT, or Claude.

Help me translate my YouTube video title and description, using YouTube Help's "Translate your own video titles & descriptions" as background.

Original language: [English]. Translate into: [e.g. Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil), Hindi].
Title: [paste]
Description: [paste]
Keep in the original, don't translate: [channel name, game titles, product model numbers, my catchphrase].
Channel style: [casual gaming / calm tutorial / tech review / family].

1. For each language, give a translated title (about as short as my original; important words first; no ALL CAPS or clickbait the original didn't have) and the translated description. Keep timestamps and chapters, links and hashtags exactly as they are.
2. Flag anything that doesn't translate well (slang, puns, jokes, units, prices, dates) and offer a plain alternative.
3. Mark the lines you're least sure about so a fluent speaker checks those first.
4. Give me 3 short questions I can ask a fluent viewer or moderator before I publish.
5. Remind me of the Studio steps: Subtitles (or Languages) > the video > Add language > Title and description > Add > Publish.

Don't add claims, sponsors or features that aren't in my original.
